Our animal care program ensures that our hens are always under the necessary care. As part of the program we train our people to ensure that the hens have a comfortable environment, a well-balanced and nutritious diet, clean water and clean environment. The program is based on the Code of Practice, developed by leading veterinarians and specialists in animal care.

We demand our eggs to be always clean and fresh.The program includes everything from automated controls to monitor egg standards for storing, cleaning, air quality, feed and record keeping.At Vasilico we follow the regulations established by the Veterinary Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism. This means that the eggs you buy at the store are approved by the competent authorities and free of any germs.

What we offer to our hens for food

We put a lot of effort in order to always produce nutritious eggs. That's why cooperate with veterinarians, nutritionist and food technicians to ensure that hens receive a balanced diet consisting of grains, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Wheat, corn and sunflower to provide energy supply and are also sources of protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Legumes (such as soy) are the most concentrated sources of dietary protein and fat. Fats from vegetable sources provide energy, while calcium and phosphorus, help to maintain strong bones and support the daily formation of the shell.

Did you know? Animal feed can change the color of the egg yolk? For example, diets with wheat based, creating a soft yellow yolk. While diets with corn basis result in a darker color of the yolk.
