Since 1986 Vasilico produces markets and distributes high quality eggs from our own breeding hens. This is the essence of our mission.

Vasilico Eggs is the trade name for Vasilico Chicken Farm Ltd which was established on August 1993. We manage egg supply across the island and promote egg consumption while representing the interests of egg farmers. Our state of the art poultry farms are point of reference for our customers. Innovation and technical research show us the best way to overcome with success all the challenges presented to us by the market.

The story of Vasilico

Our history trace back in the 1960s.

Back then, with a small farm and an old van, our beloved grandfather was delivering eggs and chickens from one house to the next, to raise his five children.

Today, as a rising family business, we are pleased to supply thousands of consumers every day across Cyprus and have an annual production of over 7 million eggs.

Folklore

Vasilico Chicken Farm Ltd took its name from the occupied village of Morphou-Vasilico, where our first farm established.

The company was named after the birthplace of our founder, namely Vasilico. The village according to Cyprus history was once a large kingdom. Vasilico in greek language means royal; this makes us more accountable to produce the best quality eggs.

Our logo is inspired by the Cypriot tradition, featuring a rooster as a protector of the family looking into the future with optimism. Our brand colour is derived from the Latin word - terra cotta - which means fermented earth as our father and grandfather build with their own bare hands our farms. to be ready for the future generations

Vasilico packages are made from moulded fibre. Moulded fibre packaging is fully biodegradable within the ecological cycle at the end of its life.This cannot be achieved by oil-based plastics.

Moulded fibre packaging is 100% recyclable. Some packaging can therefore be used more than once. This supports the EU strategy for preventing waste and protects our natural resources.

Our egg packaging products made from natural materials inspire the utmost confidence in consumers and correspond to the growing awareness for sustainability.
